    Leonard and Kardy Eickhoff, with a combined 64 years of being on the Winnett Volunteer Fire Department, were recognized on December 21, 2023, at the annual fire department Christmas party held at the Winnett Bar. Leonard first joined the fire department in 1983. In 1999, when the current chief, Ronnie Olson passed away, Leonard was elected fire chief and held that position until he retired as chief in 2015. He stayed on as a firefighter until he officially retired in 2023. His wife Kardy joined...

    WINNETT SENIOR NEWS June June 1 - Our menu today is Polish Dogs, mashed potatoes, carrots/cabbage, and cupcakes for dessert. There were thirty-one members present and eight take-out orders for lunch. The Mail-A-Meal boxes should arrive at the senior center on Monday around noon.     WINNETT SENIOR NEWS May May 4 - First meeting in our new Wesley Room in the Petroleum County Community Center. Thirty-six seniors and six take-out meals enjoyed Cream of Broccoli soup, pasta salad, cheese slices, relishes, garlic bread, fruit, veggie tray, and Lemon cake.
