Leonard and Kardy Eickhoff, with a combined 64 years of being on the Winnett Volunteer Fire Department, were recognized on December 21, 2023, at the annual fire department Christmas party held at the Winnett Bar. Leonard first joined the fire department in 1983. In 1999, when the current chief, Ronnie Olson passed away, Leonard was elected fire chief and held that position until he retired as chief in 2015.
