At the monthly July Chamber of Commerce Meeting, which is held the fourth Tuesday of every month, at the Autumn’s Inn at 6 PM. It was voted to begin raising funds via a yet to be started go-fund-me portal on-line, the goal is to raise $20,000 to purchase long-lasting, eye catching decorations for the 20 or so lighted poles along Main Street. The pay on-line site should be established and running by August 15. All of the decorations will be lighted with LED’s which will be eye popping and appropriate for the season. The plan is to raise enough money for the pole decorations but possibly a future yet-to-be determined decoration to adorn the County Court House. Stay tuned and be generous. Below are images of the four decorations that a committee of local chamber members selected as the Main Street light pole decorations. Each decoration stands approximately 8’ tall. The vintage current decorations will be sold at a later date to interested parties.
