Since COVID, Roundup has been without any martial arts or self defense classes. There has been a void of any professional and organized training available. Two Martial Artists have answered the call to fill the void; Jonathan Phillips and Justin Carlton. Jonathan Phillips is a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Chinese Kara-Ho Kempo Karate. He teaches all ages. He is very professional and good with children. Justin is a retired military police officer who spent 24 years serving our country. He deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkey, Kuwait, Qatar, South Korea, and Africa. He teaches self defense to adults only. Justin's techniques are combat proven. They are derived from Karate, Aikido, Jiu Jitsu, Krav Maga, and Military Combatives. Jon's classes are taught out of the Community Center every Monday and Wednesday from 5pm-6pm. Justin's classes are also at the Community Center every Saturday from 4pm-6pm. Justin's classes are $20 per session and he offers a 1st Responders, Military, and Law Enforcement discount of twenty percent. You must be at least 18 years of age to take this self-defense class.
