We have all become familiar with our local Amish neighbors. One word can be used to describe them, industrious. Partners Harley Yoder and Noah Byler are no exception. They are co-owners of two local businesses, Western Truss, and Western Lumber of Montana. The Truss business was the first to begin, and within a year, the team began the lumber company to compliment the Truss business. This spring they ventured into the prebuilt building- tiny home- cabin manufacturing as part of the Lumber company business. They currently sell trusses, floor trusses, lumber, prebuilt buildings, metal, and screws.
As you drive north of Roundup, You can see the business as you look north in the distance. At the top of the hill at 509 Hwy 87 N, you see the huge shop where the trusses are manufactured. Surrounding the main shop are some prebuilt buildings, a main office, the Western Lumber Yard office, and stacks and stacks of lumber. The businesses employ twelve local people. Recently, the businesses made a donation for the city baseball field, remodeling the dugouts. They donated over five hundred dollars of materials, and over one thousand dollars in labor.
Western Truss and Western Lumber thank the local support, and the support of travelers who see the business on their way to Billings. "Local support is how we can stay in business" Yoder explains.

The prebuilt cabin near highway is currently available for sale at $9500, it has four windows, a door, a small exterior entryway, metal roof and siding. The buildings can be custom built to your needs, and finished to whatever level you are looking for. Truss and custom order prebuilt cabins projects are currently about two weeks out, as the season gets busier, expect about a month out for a truss order.
Business hours for the Truss shop are 8am-3pm Monday through Friday, the Lumber Yard opens at 6am till 3pm. The businesses are having an upcoming sale on April 25-27 and October 3-5. Don't miss it.
