2020 Absentee Election Ballots will be in the mail on May 8, 2020.
Since the democratic party is not what your parents knew it to be, I will not be endorsing any democrats.
Starting at the very bottom of the Republican ballot:
As far as the Musselshell Republican Central Committee I cannot endorse any of the candidates except for:
Precinct 6 Committeewoman - Judy Rongen
I certainly would NOT endorse either Joseph K. Kuzara nor Judas (Bob) Goffena both are partly responsible for the sorry state of the local party!
District Court Clerk - Barb Halverson
Supreme Court Justice #5 - Laurie McKinnon
Public Service Commissioner #3 - James Brown
Superintendent of Public Instruction - Elsie Arntzen
State Auditor - Troy Downing
Attorney General - Austin Knudsen
Secretary of State - Scott Sales
Governor & Lt. Governor - Greg Gianforte & Kristen Juras
US House - Matt Rosendale
US Senate - Steve Daines
President - Donald J. Trump
My choices are based on picking individuals that are currently and will uphold the Constitution as written and as the system will allow. President Trump, Senator Daines and Congressman Greg Gianforte have attempted to do what is best for Montana and the nation.
The state of Montana is desperately in need of an accomplished businessman to take the helm as Governor, and Congressman Greg Gianforte is the man that will fill that role with honor and direction.
Matt Rosendale will serve the people of Montana well as our Congressman and will be a continuing conservative voice in the US House.
Senator Steve Daines will continue to be a dedicated spokesman for Montana.
Senator Scott Sales is a conservative Republican with no equals in the Montana legislature and is a perfect fit as Secretary of State.
Austin Knudsen was Speaker of the House in the Montana legislature and as a accomplished attorney will serve with distinction as Attorney General.
Troy Downing though someone with no direct political experience but, as a candidate for the US Senate seat in 2018 campaigned and spoke with integrity and will be a honorable public servant as State Auditor.
Elsie Arntzen has been a worthy Superintendent of Public Instruction and should be returned to that post in state government.
James Brown as an attorney and someone that has represented many well known organizations in the state will bring that degree of understanding pf the law to the Public Service Commission that is sorely needed.
Laurie McKinnon is a conservative voice on the State Supreme Court and must be returned to that position to offset the dangerous liberal mindset that dominates that body.
Barb Halverson has accomplished her job as District Court Clerk in a professional manner and deserves your support this election season.
Finally, President Trump deserves our support and respect, can you imagine either Hillary Clinton or Joe Biden in that chair, in this world, with the challenges we face, steering the ship of state in these turbulent waters?
