Diana's Jewelry

Diana Fawcett, a Roundup local, is one of seven children. Her mother's parents, the Johnson's, were homesteaders at the base of the south side of the Snowy Mountains in 1910. Her grandfather lived to be 102 years old, a testament to the durability of the homesteaders. Her father's family, the Sandvigs, were known around the community as well. Diana still has two Aunts from her father's family that still live in the community.

Diana began her interest in jewelry during a high school work program in 1982. She was given an opportunity to work for Mr. Fuller, who owned Fullers Jewelry, and she loved it so much that she never quit. Mr. Fuller's specialty was in pocket watches, repairing and restoring them as well as all aspects of the jewelry business. His original store was on Main Street, but he moved the business to 1102 1st St. East in 1975. He retired in 1993, selling the store to Diana at that time.

Diana designs and crafts much of the jewelry in her store. Many of the pieces feature Montana's own Yogo Sapphire. She also has some unique pieces with elk horn. There is a variety of jewelry to fit various budgets.

The Virus Shut-down has affected Diana's business. She has not expanded to an online presence as many small businesses do.

She still maintains a store front, and face to face customer foot traffic business. The quality and beauty of true gems need to be seen in person to truly be appreciated. Diana can clean, repair, and design to fit your jewelry needs. She has sales and promotions for special occasions.

Many towns the size of Roundup could never boast of a longstanding jewelry business. We hope that Diana's Jewelry will continue and prosper in the days and years ahead. If you have the time, stop and see this small but lovely store that continues on at 1102 1st Street East in Roundup.
