Sanford (Sandy)Alvin Haugsdal, passed away on Feb. 12, 2024, at Roundup Hospital surronded by family and friends.
He was born March 13, 1945 in Williston, North Dakota to Louis and Doris Haugsdal.
He married Sandra Sederquest and in that union they had two daughters, Susan and Stephanie.
Divorced from Sandra, Sandy met and married Diane Powers, Sandy raised her sons Larry and Scott Powers as his own sons. Together they had a daughter Jennifer.
Sandy served 6 years in the National Guard and received an honorable discharge.
Sandy made his career as a heavy equipment mechanic and operator that took him to many interesting places.
Sandy spent his last two years at Roundup Nursing Home. He enjoyed visits from family and friends especially his granddaughter who brought love and lively energy with each visit.
Sandy was proceeded in death by his parents and two brothers.
He leaves behind is wife Diane, children Susan, Stephanie, Larry (Lena) Powers, Scott (Jill) Powers and daughter Jennifer.
He leaves his brothers Ken and Leonard, two sisters, Louise Saulte and Donna Baltzer, 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Celebration of life to be held at Gospel Country Church, 6:00 pm, March 3 in Roundup, Montana.
