Midway West Carnival Coming to Town For RIDE

Midway West Amusements Carnival is coming to Roundup, Montana for the first time and they will be part of RIDE’s 17th annual celebration. The Carnival will be set up in City Park at the big ball field beside Hwy 12. The Carnival will run July 1st - 4th. There will be at least sixteen rides for adults, kiddies, and the whole family. Just some of what you’ll see will be The Kamikaze, Ferris Wheel, and The Graviton. A couple of surprise rides are also being added. There will be lots of Carnival food available with cotton candy, funnel cakes, caramel apples and such.

Midway West Amusements is a family owned and operated event. The Jenson’s have been in the business for over 30 years. They are based out of Sun City, Arizona. Before coming to Roundup, they are in Helena and Livingston.

Nathan Jenson was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He spent 12 years working for Great Western Carnival. He has worked in every aspect of the business: games, food, rides, and maintenance. He was manager of a carnival for 3 years before starting his own. The hands on experience gives him the expertise to run a top-notch carnival.

Michelle Jensen was born in the carnival business and spent her summer vacations working for her parent’s carnival games while growing up in Phoenix. Michelle and Nathan met in college at the University of Arizona. The now have six children.

The Mission Statement of Midwest Carnival Amusements is to provide a wholesome, safe, clean atmosphere with exciting attractions to entertain their patrons with professional, courteous service.

You can purchase daily, all you can ride tickets for $20 at KLMB Radio, Liquor Store #44, and Picchioni’s IGA in Roundup. If you get them at the gate during the days of the Carnival it’s $30 for an all day pass, so save money and buy early. It is the only event that the RIDE wristband doesn’t cover.

It’s going to be fun, and it’s just around the corner. There’s two big evening shows on July 1st and 2nd. Caleb Johnson will rock the joint with Jason Larson on the 1st. Two of Merle Haggard’s sons, Ben and Noel will bring their band and do a Haggard Tribute Show. Then Laine Hardy will close the show on the 2nd. The best fireworks in the state of Montana will follow the 2nd show. There’s Kids Kountry, Top Shot Competition, RIDE Golf Tournament, and more.
