Petroleum County Fire District staff received the engine through the Rural Fire Readiness Program application process which allows the direct transfer of excess firefighting equipment and engines to rural firefighting organizations.
The engine was delivered by BLM wildland firefighters from the Zortman Fire Station. It has a 280 gallon water tank capable of putting out wildland fires and came with a complement of firefighting tools.
