Letters to the Editor

August 11, 2021

In response to Mr. Peterson's letter to the editor of Aug. 4, 2021.

I would like to know your definition to “investigation” of the arson? What is the protocol for that procedure?

We had liability insurance on the place but no fire insurance. This can be proven with a phone call. Just a part of the procedure I would think.

Two plus months past the night of the fire, we have yet to visit with Anyone from the Musselshell Co. Sheriffs Office, Except for the night of the fire a very polite deputy was there at the scene, again that was May 20, 2021.

I have yet to hear from a Fire Marshall, although I was told that the cause of the fire was very obvious. Maybe the Fire Marshall was not needed, I don't know.

We waited until the week prior to the Ride celebration to close up the hole made by the fire, to reduce access to 4 legged and 2 legged critters. At the same time the hole in the roof, made by the fire dept., to access the attic was closed. A safety step taken.

I am guessing that the thousands of dollars WE lost that night means nothing to you Mr. Peterson and the loss of a business to the community as well.

I await an answer from SOMEONE!

The phone for the shop now rings at my home.
