Second year wrestler Ryan Olson pins Colt McCord. Ryan went 4-1 on Friday, with each of his wins ending in a pin.
Logan Turner takes on Colt Patterson. Logan went 0-2 on Friday, but kept it to points (rather than allowing a pin) both times after bumping up to wrestle larger opponents.
Justin Brush wraps up Parker Miner. Justin defeated Parker by points. Justin went 2-1 on Friday.
Jordan Popino maneuvers opponent Adysen Morris to the mat on the way to his first win/first pin.
Brandon gets into position for a takedown. Brandon pinned this opponent for his first victory and first pin.
Sheldon Serrano pins Colt Reisig. Sheldon went 2-0, winning both matches with pins.
Sheldon Serrano vs Kaleb Winton of Williston. Sheldon went to the multi-state Montana Open at the Metra this weekend. In a 32-man bracket loaded with highly ranked wrestlers, Sheldon won his first two matches, the first with a pin, and the second 10-5. He lost the next two, not placing, but finishing in the top eight of his bracket.
Roundup AAU Wrestling took their Middle School (6-8th grade) wrestlers to Lewistown on Friday, March 26th, for a dual. Overall, the team went 11-7, with first year wrestlers Brandon and Jordan Popino each earning their first pin.
Sheldon Serrano also attended the Montana Open.
The Roundup Wrestling Club would like to thank everyone who has supported us for the last several years. Our team has continued to grow, and grow stronger, because of the coaches, parents, and community members standing with us. Every year, it is an honor to witness these athletes grow as athletes, students, and as members of a great community. We are so proud of these kids and how they've grown, and appreciative of those who have helped the athletes, and the team, through the years.
