Fourteen FWC wrestlers participated in the Phil Schmidt Memorial Tournament on Saturday, January 27, in the Huntley Project High School in Worden, Mont. The team scored 142 points and was ranked eighth place of 22 teams.

The following wrestlers placed in the tournament: Franklin Phifer took third in the Tot Boys 41-45 bracket; Odessa Hedrick took third in the Tot Girls 43-46 bracket; KoBurn Hoge took firs tin the Bantam Boys 47-49 bracket; Ryan Pearce took second in the Bantam Boys 51-55 bracket; Parker Shelagowski took first in the Bantam Boys 63-68 bracket; Jace Sweeney took second in the Midget Boys 59-61 bracket; Korbyn Randle took fifth place in the Midget Boys 61-66 bracket; Lyndon Randle took sixth place in the Midget Boys 80-88 bracket; Teller Stevenson took first place in the Novice Boys 90-97 bracket; Jimmy Francis took fifth place in the Novice Boys 100-104 bracket; Reagan Decock took first place in the Novice Girls 69-74 bracket; Jacob Wittmier took third and Andrew Ruckman took fourth in the Middle School Boys 82-90 bracket.

"Unlike many of the other experiences and activities our athletes will see this year, strength and honor are cornerstone attributes for the lessons being learned while engaged with wrestling," reflected Coach Bob Stevenson. "Last weekend, this held true for all the athletes I was surrounded by. As a community, you should feel a great sense of pride with the amount of progress and effort being made."
