BlueCross BlueShield Funds Local Community Education
February 19, 2020
Roundup Memorial Healthcare (RMH) was recently awarded a $4,000 grant from the BlueCross BlueShield of Montana. Grant funds will be used strictly to cover part of the costs for Stop the Bleed community education.
The Stop the Bleed program is nationally recognized for its efforts to increase awareness for lifesaving education regarding serious injury. As of October 2019, over 1 million people have been trained around the world. This program is intended not only for healthcare workers, but also for the bystander, both children and adults.
The provider and nursing staff at Roundup Memorial Healthcare have volunteered to provide free education courses to our service area's residents. The training will be free to the public and include a take-home kit that empowers residents to stop bleeding to a severely injured person.
Thank you BlueCross BlueShield of Montana for allowing RMH to provide free education to our community!
