Roundup City Council Meeting Minutes

MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUNDUP HELD ON NOVEMBER 7, 2023 AT 7:00 P.M. IN THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS AND ZOOM MEETING.

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Jones. Clerk/ Treasurer Lanter conducted roll call with council members, Long, Vivirito, Erickson, Carlson, McCleary, Toombs, and Fisher present. Also, present were, Director Sibley and Assistant Clerk Mann. Attorney Brooks was present via zoom. Liggett was absent.

MOVED BY CARLSON SECONDED BY MCCLEARY TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE OCTOBER 17, 2023 MEETING. ALL IN FAVOR. MOTION CARRIED.

MOVED BY CARLSON SECONDED BY VIVIRITO TO APPROVE THE AGENDA, ADDING PARK LIGHTS UPDATE. ALL IN FAVOR. MOTION CARRIED.

Public Comment: Rebecca Gentle and Jeff Gordon from Denver on zoom: Ms. Gentle-Talked with Bruce, he advised us to come to meeting to ask for a variance for unmanned Telecommunication center on leased property. Mayor Jones will email application.

Law Enforcement: Undersheriff Bednar- New jailer started Monday.

Mayor Jones:

• TIF Board Members recruiting process- Not ready to do this yet.

• TIF Board Documents- Reviewed tonight.

• Sent email to MDT/ Mr. Hamblen, about snow removal. He sent a warm response. Lon had the ice removed from in front of the court house.

• Working with Brent on house being occupied with no services since June.

Attorney Brooks: Sat in on meeting at 6pm, working on word smithing.

Citation issued to Boone property; he lives out of town. Had a productive discussion with Billings Code/Compliance gal.

Unfinished Business;

• Growth Policy: Mayor Jones- All surveys are in.

Report out from Council Committee Meetings:

• Codes and Ordinance Committee: Fisher-Main discussion was parking of recreational vehicles. Talking about using part of Billings ordinance. We are still working on it. Will meet again before next meeting. Long- Thoughts on one-way streets? Committee has no appetite for it.

• Park Lights: Vivirito-Ship date is January 5th.
