Entertainment that is Almost Criminal

September 18, 2019

Friends of Musselshell School, Inc and The Illustrious Musselshell Players are pleased to present their 16th dinner theatre on Friday, September 20, and Saturday, September 21. Each evening will feature dinner and the entertaining and amusing western comedy, “The Wrong Side of the Law.” A matinee performance will be presented on Sunday, September 22.

On Friday & Saturday, The Illustrious Musselshell Players begin seating guests on the main floor at the Musselshell School Community Center at 5:30 sharp. (Note: the door does not open until 5:30.). The tables will be decorated with sunflower bouquets and pitchers of ice cold sparkling Rhubarb’s lemonade. The first course will be a fruited lettuce salad drizzled with creamy lemon vinaigrette dressing; the main course will be smothered pot roast, potatoes, and carrots with a whole wheat honey bun along side; the third course will be a fudge brownie cheesecake. After dinner is served the cast and guests move to the upstairs auditorium for the evening finale, the presentation of “The Wrong Side of the Law.”

RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE DINNER THEATRE. The cost for the dinner and theatre is $25 per person. Seating is limited so tickets are sold on a first come first served basis. Reserve your seat for the dinner theatre by calling, Ken Eickhoff (406-947-5200). If there is no answer, leave a detailed message. All messages will receive a return call.

On Sunday the matinee begins at 2 pm sharp! No reservations are required to attend the Sunday matinee. The cost of the matinee is $10 per person (preschool free). Coffee and cookies are served in the main hall after the matinee.

The sheriff’s away so the townsfolk will play? Not when his daughter, Shania, is the deputy in charge – even if she never did get a horse, badge, or a gun! When two newcomers arrive in town, Saddleback Bertha and Sleazebag Barney, they realize they’ve found some easy pickin’s. Bertha does some fancy talkin’ and soon convinces the townsfolk that since Shania is a novice sheriff, Barney should be the sheriff because he has considerable more experience with law enforcement (although it is on the wrong side of the law!) Come out and find out if the townsfolk ever learn that the newcomers are wanted criminals.

This year’s fun-loving cast includes the talents of Sherie Milburn, Ken Eickhoff, Karen Shelhamer, Ralph Goffena, Ronda Seder, Norma Trent, Sara Allen, Nathan Goffena, Lynn Rettig, Nan Rademacher, Silvia Metzger, Dalen Keeney, and the little orphan, Rosetta O’Flanagan, played by Joanie Rettig.

The Wrong Side of the Law is produced by special arrangement with Eldridge Publishing Company.

While you are at Musselshell School don’t miss the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for the exquisitely hand-crafted hickory cedar chest. Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. The winning ticket will be drawn in February 2020.

All profits generated from these and other FoMS fundraisers are used to operate Musselshell School as a community center.
