Rodney Atkins and Ned LeDoux Headline RIDE 2024

Rodney Atkins is coming to Roundup, Montana for RIDE’s 19th celebration with some nice country music record achievements in his back pocket, and it’s something that any artist would love to have. His 2019 single “Caught Up in the Country” spent more time on the charts that any other single in the history of country music. For 57 weeks, it stayed on the charts, which is remarkable since most record labels try to get radio stations to move on to their next song project after the song peaks. However, the radio stations couldn’t get enough of the song. Rodney’s “If You’re Going Thru Hell” and “Watching You” both spent four weeks at the #1 position, and each song was song of the year in 2006 and 2007. Atkins has had six songs reach the top of the charts and he’s not done yet.

Rodney Atkins will bring his band to Roundup Saturday July 6th for a show you’re not going to want to miss. The show starts at 7pm at the Roundup Community Stage with KGHL morning DJ, Nick Tyler, hosting. Dale Poune and Doug Sandall, “The Double D’s”, will open, and the best fireworks in the state of Montana will follow Rodney Atkins. Fireworks are by Roundup Skylighters and Montana Poor Boy Pyrotechnics.

Ned LeDoux knows a thing or two about western music and rodeo. He’s been around both all his life. You see, he was born in Kaycee, Wyoming and was exposed to both with the best teacher he could have. His father was the one and only Chris LeDoux. Chris was a world champion bare back rider and one of the best and most famous western singers of all time. The younger LeDoux began playing drums in his father’s road band, Western Underground, in 1998. Ned began recording solo material in 2015, working with Nashville producer Mac McAnally. His first LP out was “Forever a Cowboy” in 2016. Ned LeDoux also sang on Chase Rice’s 2017 album “Lambs and Lions”. They did a duet on Chris LeDoux’s “This Cowboy’s Hat”. LeDoux will bring his energetic show to the Roundup Community Stage on Friday, July 5th. Show starts at 7pm with local singing cowboy sensation Shay Wacker, followed by that great party guy entertainer Jason Larson.

Crow Country will start the stage entertainment off on Thursday evening July, 4th at 7pm for a free dance at the Outdoor Stage. Bring your lawn chairs for all evening shows. There will be 50/50 drawings each night and vendors for the Friday and Saturday shows.

The Midway Carnival will once again be in the City Park July 4-7th. There will be a RIDE golf tournament, Kids Kountry, Mimosa Mile fun run/walk, and Cowboy Church with Dave Bergeson. Check out http://www.roundupride.com for all the details. Also, check us out on Facebook.
