The Friends of the Library hosted local author Thomas Thackeray at the library on St.Patrick's Day. He entertained listeners with readings from his latest book, "A Complete Idiot's Guide to Being Wonderful". This collection of poems by the retired Roundup High School English teacher is his second book. "Treading Air and Other Stories" was published in 2022.

Tom stated he wrote this collection of poems over a period of over 25 years. The poems are thoughtful, emotional, funny and sombre. Some titles he read included "Retirement", "Tolerance", and "Twenty Degrees Below Zen".
