Kids Wish Network Sends Local Girl to Hawaii

Amyah Slimick was paralyzed from the waist down in an auto accident with her family in which she lost her younger brother to injuries from the accident. Amyah was diagnosed with severe abdominal trauma and spent the next four months in the hospital with over forty surgeries. She will have more surgeries in the future as she recently broke her femur. She is currently living with her grandmother, who has cared for her since the accident.

Amberley Snider, a paralyzed barrel racer from Utah, nominated Amyah for a wish with the Kids Wish Network. Amber's wish was to go to Hawaii. Amyah loves to swim, and despite her handicap is a great swimmer who just passed her deep-water test. Amyah was surprised with her wish at the Roundup Community Pool on August 27th where KTVQ-2 and Musselshell Media were there to video the surprise. Amyah is most excited for surfing in Hawaii. She has never been there, and has always hoped to go. Congratulations Amyah. Everyone is hoping you have the best trip.
