Governor Gianforte Visits Roundup

On August 17th, Governor Greg Gianforte, his wife, First Lady Susan Gianforte, along with his staff visited Roundup Montana with several stops.

Beginning his day, he visited Petroleum County's new Community Center in Winnett. He then traveled South to Roundup to honor ninety-seven-year-old Veteran Seaman Second Class, Doug Parrott, with the Montana Governor's Veteran Commendation. Montana's First Lady, Susan, visited the Roundup Library to focus on her Dolly Parton's Imagination Library launch in partnership with Dolly Parton. A program bringing free books for children up to five years old.

The Governor then went to the Roundup High School to meet with Representative Greg Oblander, and the RHS FFA students. There he signed two bills carried by Rep. Oblander. House Bill 382, strengthens career and technical student organizations which empower Montana students, like FFA and Skills USA. House Bill 137 simplifies Montana Code with regards to behavioral health licensing.

The Governor lunched at the Back Porch BBQ with Mayor Jones, Commissioners Pancratz, Goffena, Turley, and Signal Peak Energy Representative Parker Phipps. The Governor and his entourage traveled on to Quad Five in Golden Valley to tour the facility that provides high-quality microbiology products utilized in clinical medical centers.
