Arrival of New Ultrasound Machine

Roundup Memorial Healthcare's (RMH) state-of-the-art ultrasound system went live Thursday, December 8th. This new ultrasound replaces a 13-year-old device. The new technological advances that the updated machine offers greatly improves RMH's ability to diagnose patients with the use of ultrasound. The new machine has improved color flow detection, image quality, greater depth and penetration capabilities, faster data acquisition and processing, and more. The newer technology improves the accuracy of diagnosis, reduces the need for repeat imaging, and improves patient outcomes.

Replacement of the ultrasound also improves RMH radiology staff efficiency and workflow. The new equipment is WIFI capable, which makes work orders accessible from anywhere in our facility and enables RMH staff to send results to any provider electronically. These new capabilities represent incredible advancements in efficiency. The new workflow greatly reduces the need for manual entry of patient information, thereby reducing the possibility of data entry errors.

“This new machine will increase our ability to better serve our patients, community, and to keep up with the ever-changing needs,” said Tiff Eickhoff RT (R) RDMS, Ultrasound Tech at RMH.

This advanced equipment purchase was made possible only through the generosity and partnership of The Otto Bremer Trust ($65,000), the Signal Peak Community Foundation ($48,000), the Browning Kimball Foundation ($25,000), and a private memorial donation from a Roundup resident ($10,000).
