Team Pelissier Wissota Street Stock Mid-Season report for 17yr old driver Kayla Pelissier. 14 races so far this year has put Kayla in a great position for the points race for Big Sky Speedway and Montana state Championship points. She has 13 scheduled races left with only 4 Big Sky Speedway races left for track championship points race. As of now with 8 races completed Kayla is 4th out of 27 with 676 points,final Big Sky street stock race is August 27th!Points race can change quickly, she is competing against the top race teams. Team Pelissier is very proud of our drivers performance and improvements through this season. Wissota Montana State points as of last week, Kayla stands in 7th out of 50 with 997 points, 8 top 10 finishes.We have high confidence Kayla will have an exciting end of year points runoff as the season comes to a close in Montana at Gallatin Speedway in Belgrade September 9-10th! Kayla started at 15 years old with 13 races at Big Sky in 2020, finishing 7th out of 36 with 872 points. Big Sky Speedway awarded Kayla with the ROOKIE of the year trophy 2020! She finished state 15th out of 67, 997 points with 4 top 10 finishes. Kayla finished 2021 with an outstanding 3rd Big Sky Speedway Track Championship out of 32 points race! State points race finishing 9th out of 72, 1458 points with 12 top 10 and 1 top 5 finishes!July 22nd Electric City Speedway in Great Falls with 14 street stock cars showing for the Fastest in the Falls pot added race. Kayla drew heat 2 and finished 6th out of 7. Lost a new tire when she passed, slight contact created a pinhole in sidewall. Kayla finished the main very strong 8th using Bulletproofs new rear gears and 3 new tires! Big Sky Speedway July 23rd race was busy with 5 classes competing. Kayla drew the 2nd heat with a 4th out of 5 finish. The main was very rough, rutted and dusty. Kayla finished 8th running a solid line and adding 2 more top 10 to state stats. Street Stock race had no cautions which usually doesn't happen.Big Thank You to Grandpa Duane, Fans, Michelle's Performance, Imperial Thia Cuisine, Total Rental, Bar BY, and Pryor Creek Golf Course.
