Montana Shakespeare in the Parks

Monday July 11th, 6:30 PM Roundup City Park

Montana Shakespeare in the Parks (MSIP) is celebrating 50 years of bringing live outdoor theater to rural and urban Montana. And this year in Roundup, we are celebrating 38 years with MSIP. They will perform Twelfth Night, or What You Will, a funny joyous play, written in the festive spirit of the Twelfth Night of the Christmas season. This silly and thoughtful play fits well with celebrating the summer season in Montana.

Holidays provide a temporary suspension of the rules of social order, and in that spirit Shakespeare includes identity mix-ups, illusions, pranks, and comic dialogue, revealing the marvel and power of love and the forces allied against it.

Come, bring your lawn chairs and picnic baskets, to the Roundup City Park softball field -- 9th Avenue & 4th Street East -- Monday July 11th at 6:30 PM, to watch this happily satisfying production free to all.

Roundup Arts & Culture Committee is looking for additional people for help bring Shakespeare in the Parks to Roundup each summer. If you would like to help bring this entertainment to our town, please contact Bill Milton at 406-323-1771.

Roundup Arts & Culture, a standing committee of the Musselshell Valley Community Foundation (MVCF), counts on the generous support of our local patrons to bring Shakespeare in the Parks and other events to Roundup every year. MVCF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to which donations are tax-deductible.

Shakespeare in the Parks is free and open to the public. If the weather is inclement, the play will be performed at the Community Center, 700 3rd Street West.

See you in the Park!
