Commissioners Meeting May 21, 2021 Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 8:30 by Commissioner Goffena. Commissioner Turley and Commissioner Pancratz were present.

Tyler Lindbloom from Interstate Engineering and Jay Steinmasel from Knife River were present.

Pledge of Allegiance.

Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to approve the agenda as is. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Commissioner Turley made the motion to approve the minutes from May 14, 2021 as is. Commissioner Pancratz seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Mr. Lindbloom gave an update of the work being done at the Roundup Airport. The only things to be done are the PAPI’s. The electricians said the West end PAPI’s, all bulbs are burned out and seem like they have been for a while. The East end has 2 bulbs burned out. The bulbs are being shipped and will be installed once received. The permanent striping was shut down on Friday due to high winds, the remaining will be done on Tuesday. The Final Inspection will be Tuesday May 25, 2021 at 9:00

The Commissioners, Chief Financial Officer Kirk and Clerk & Recorder Tomassi met with several Department heads to go over their Preliminary budgets.

Commissioners Meeting

May 25, 2021 Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 8:30 by Commissioner Goffena. Commissioner Turley and Commissioner Pancratz were present.

Pledge of Allegiance.

Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to approve the agenda as is. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Commissioner Turley made the motion to approve the minutes from the Friday, May 18, 2021 and Road Department Meeting on May 28, 2021 as is. Commissioner Pancratz seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Commissioner Goffena and Commissioner Turley went to the Airport on May 29, 2021 to do an inspection and go through the punch list of things done and still to do. There are a few things they are going to be doing to complete the job. A few lights need to be installed, the stripe is too large and there is a bump in the runway that will need smooth out.

Jeremy Norby with Seitz Insurance met with the Commissioners to go over the Workers Compensation renewal proposals.

Sheriff Lesnik gave his weekly report to the Commissioners. They had a 6-hour Zerkers (New Software for security and retention of information) presentation on Tuesday May 25, 2021. Morrison & Maierle, Ambulance Director Solberg, Adam Toombs, Jason Bednar and Ethan Malenowski were present.

DES Coordinator Harper and Fire Warden Russell gave their weekly report. Rural Addressing assistant Darren Rook was also present. Mr. Russell informed the Commissioners that they will be hosting a “Cat Camp” on Redher Road June 17, 18 & 19. Burning is open. They are going to be getting a quote from Overhead Doors in Billings to get the Fire Barn door finally fixed because there was another theft. They are also going to get a quote from Big Horn Signs for new street address signs. There were 5 new addresses last week.

Treasurer Hetrick gave her weekly report to the Commissioners to go over tax Deed Properties.

Finance Manager Kirk and Clerk & Recorder Tomassi met with the Commissioners to go over budgets. Public Comment:

Scott and Morgan Adkins were present and asked if there was any news on Cameron Road? The Commissioners are still waiting on an Attorney opinion.

Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to review, approve and sign Resolution 2021-15 Ordering the Cancellation of Personal/Mobile Home Property Taxes. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Commissioner Turley made the motion to review and sign Resolution 2021-16 Establishing the Procedure for Signing County Claims and Authority to Sign County Checks. Commissioner Pancratz seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to review and sign Certificate of Survey 2021-6RB amending the Northwest Townsites 3rd Addition to the Townsite of Roundup, Block 18, Lots 1A & 3A submitted by Daniel J. Jenkins and Grace I. Jenkins. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.

There being no further business Commissioner Turley made the motion to adjourn. Commissioner Pancratz seconded the motion.

Motion carried.
