The clays of Teddy Blue and his herd have arrived at Eagle Bronze in Lander, WY for creation of the mold and casting in bronze. Transport to Lander and return both are being provided by Eagle Bronze. The owners of the company traveled to Roundup in early June to view the clay model and are excited to be participants in this project.

As a result of press releases sent to several newspapers around the state and the feature article, which appeared in the Billings Gazette on June 19, several of Teddy Blue’s descendants have made contact and are excited that our community has chosen to honor their ancestor in this manner. Many of them are planning to attend the dedication next summer.

As of this writing, the monument is approximately two-thirds funded. Partial funding is in place for casting cost, the most costly part of this project. Site preparation and landscaping costs have been estimated but are not yet fully determined. The committee is exploring the possibility of selling bricks with your name and brand as the net fundraiser. Stay tuned for further information.
