Edith Lorene Schanbacher Ellis went home to the Lord on January 4, 2020. Edith was born on September 13, 1928 in Newton, Kansas. The family moved to Abilene, Texas when she was 12 years old. In 1945 Edith married O.S. “Jack” Ellis. They were together for 66 years. Edith and Jack bought a ranch in the Roundup area in 1946. This ranch became home for 73 years. In 1959 they started Ellis Auctions, and were active in the auction business for many years.Edith loved her family, horses, and the ranch.
