The Missoulian recently published a Guest Opinion, titled “Lack of Internet Access is holding rural communities back. Students, too.”

First, I have total respect for the guest writer who submitted the op-ed. And second, I am 100 percent in agreement with the guest writer’s underlying interest in facilitating access to advanced broadband connectivity to all Montanans. Broadband connectivity benefits all walks of life: education, health care, emergency services, government services, commerce, entertainment, etc. Broadband is a critical economic tool in rural and urban areas alike.
