The Fat Straw

Johnny, Jessica, and Stephanie on opening day

The Fat Straw is a newly opened Main Street business featuring Boba Tea. What is Boba tea, you might ask. Boba tea is a sweet milk tea with brown sugar flavored tapioca pearls. You can drink and eat at the same time. It sounds funny, but this drink trend is extremely popular, and surprisingly delicious. The straw needed to drink Boba is extra-large, or you might call it a "Fat Straw".

Teacher Amy Jones heads out with fresh drinks

Johnny Chavez and Stephanie Graben of PRONTO Construction are the owners of the new business. Located at the corner where Hwy 87 turns East onto Hwy 12. They utilized the small store front that used to be the Back Porch BBQ at the Big Sky Motel. The BBQ moved down Main Street to what was previously the Bakery when the BBQ business became busier than the small "take-out" could contain.

After another remodel for the new business, Johnny, Stephanie, and employee Jessica Davis opened for business this past week, to a non-stop busy opening day.

Besides the traditional Boba, there is a "popping Boba". The popping Boba is a fruit juice filled Boba. The Boba can be added to anything on the menu. They have Italian soda, coffee, and teas. The drinks can be on ice or blended.

Congratulations to Johnny and Stephanie! Thanks for brining another exciting business to town!
