Electric City Speedway September 2nd and 3rd Race Report for Kayla Pelissier. Friday a home near us started a fire and spread quickly to the tree and the hope of making the race was cut short.🙏🏼 We pray for the homeowner, as it seems they lost everything. The amazing local fire departments with the help from several helicopters restricted the spread of the fire! We had a very late start of the 3 1/2 hour drive, knowing Kayla could possibly miss the heat race and start in the back of main. We arrived 10 minutes before scheduled race start and hustled to prepare Bulletproof! She drew the first heat and drove the car to a 4th out of 7 finish, forcing a weight check and 2 tech inspection! 🤩 Bulletproof passed tech and we prepared for the main race. With the season ending in only 3 state points days left, the pressure has built up and the teams, drivers, and cars are really being put to test. Locals are competing hard for their track championship points and the rest are pushing for State championship positions. The track was setup for a hard-slick that you can hear the tires when they lose traction. Everything on the car has to be right for the driver to navigate at a high speed.👀 Kayla really gave it all for a great 6th out of 13 finish, adding solid points to her total.🏁 Saturday was over 100 degrees with very low humidity, causing the hard-slick track conditions. Kayla drew the first heat, running against the best in the state. Bulletproof finished 6th out of 8 setting the lineup for the main. With the most seasoned drivers sliding out causing cautions, Kayla was caught up in one. Bulletproof lost another front left tire in the collision and with no time left.😲 Kayla finished 13th out of 16, still adding points for state. September 9th and 10th is Big Sky Supernationals for the final state points race at Gallatin Speedway in Belgrade. Friday night will be heat races with teams from all over competing.Saturday night is the final main features of the season. Kayla could not chase her dreams without her family and sponsors supporting this amazing time in her life!💪 Huge Thank You to Mitchell's Performance, Imperial Thia Cuisine, Total Rental, Bar BY PAPA, and Pryor Creek Golf Course. Team Pelissier is very proud of our driver, sponsors, and of course the FANS!👏 Have a eablessed week and wish Kayla luck! 👍
