On June 8th, Governor Greg Gianforte and Montana's First Lady, Susan Gianforte came to Roundup to recognize local veteran, Dan Barta, for his service. In a small ceremony in the basement of the museum, Greg presented Dan with the Montana Governor's Veteran Commendation for 2021. The local veterans surrounded Dan with their support, and two of our eldest veterans, Doug Parrot, and Vernon Kuhlmann (now 101 years old), were also in attendance along with some of Dan's family.
