Central Montana Head Start Supports Positive Parenting and Healthy Living Through Virtual Instant Pot Cooking Classes

Central Montana Head Start (CMHS) held a four-week virtual Instant Pot class for the parents/guardians of enrolled Head Start children in Lewistown, Harlowton, and Roundup. The participants who attended all the classes were eligible to be in the drawing for a free instant pot.

Lisa Hahn - Instant Pot Winner

The class consisted of how to use an instant pot. The recipes used were cost effective, high in nutrients, and low in fat, sugar and salt. Instant pot recipes prepared and shared were cilantro lime rice, homemade refried beans, black bean brownies, boiled eggs, crust less quiche, ham and egg salad, chicken curry, beef stew, chocolate peanut butter lava cake, and Crème Brûlée.
