There have been many delays in getting the old Odd Fellows Hall in Winnett moved from it's original site to it's new home. It was originally going to be torn down to make room for the new Petroleum County community Center, but the Community Enhancement Committee of Winnett ACES (Agricultural Community Enhancement and Sustainability) decided to try to save it. Through generous donations of money and hard work and a grant, the project reached the milestone of getting the building moved on Monday February 7th. There is still much work to be done to make the building, which is over one hundred years old, usable, as well as more funds to be raised to invest in the project. Updates to this story will be forthcoming over the next couple of years.
