Born Jeanette Elizabeth Eller in South Bend, IN on April 4, 1936 to George Ephraim Eller and Violet Maye Stanley Eller. The family moved to Colorado when she was young due to her fathers' health. She attended and graduated from Lakewood High School in Lakewood, CO. During her school years, she was a member of the 4-H Club of Jefferson County and earned numerous awards for her designing and sewing of womens' clothing.
