Big Sky SuperNationals state points finals! Big end of season race weekend with 31 Wissota Street Stock cars point race! Our 16 year old racer had a GREAT run! Friday night were all heat races, setting the stage for main point races Saturday! Kayla raced in the 4th heat. She placed 7th out of 8, which put her into the B main on Saturday. The car had a vibration on the straight, but did not slow her down! Saturday 2nd B main had some of the top racers buying for position in the A main. Kayla stayed strong finishing 6th out of 9! Drivers showed up from around the state pushing to improve their state points standing. Although at the time we did not realize, Kayla made it to the FINAL A MAIN race! Everything happened very fast, with limited preparation time! We got the car ready and on to the Main Show. Main final had 24 of the Best Racers and pit crews in the State! The track was fast and smooth. Kayla started in 24th, back of the pack. She raced smart staying in the back watching for the crashes, avoiding all! Usually a 20 lap race was extended to 25. As pit crew boss,this was great. Knowing the car Bulletproof could run 25 laps with no problems. The damage from last weekend head on crash was starting to show itself with the vibration getting worse. Kayla pushed the car harder for the last 5 laps, putting herself into a great finishing position! Kayla and Bulletproof finished 15th out of 24! VERY PROUD As of right now ( things can change) she moved up to 9th in STATE points!! With only two out of town races, that is amazing!! WOW 67 Wissota Street Stock racing teams in the State!! Team Pelissier calls this season a true VICTORY!!!!
