This is the Sherriff’s Report for the Month of August.

There were 128 calls on 911. The breakdown is as follows:

19 calls for the ambulance,

22 calls for the police,

8 calls for fire,

41 unwarranted calls,

8 transfers to other counties,

And 7 test calls.

*A called reporting cows on the road at MM 33 north of town, this call was transferred to Fergus County.

*The fire dept was dispatched out for a propane leak.

*A call came in reporting cows out on Bender and #4 road.

*A call came in to for a RADD (Reckless and Dangerous Driver) report.

*The ambulance was dispatched to an unresponsive male.

*A call came into report smelling smoke, Undersheriff Bednar responded and they were unable to locate the source of the smell.

*The ambulance was dispatched for a male with a possible heart attack.


*The ambulance was dispatched to a female that had been bitten by a rattlesnake.

*There was a report of a grass fire in Yellowstone County, the call was transferred.

*There was a report of a fire in Shephard, the call was transferred to Yellowstone County.

*There was a report of a roll over accident with no injuries.

*The ambulance was dispatched to a female having heart issues.

*A gentleman reported hitting two deer, the deputy was advised.

*An individual called with questions about a runaway dog.

*The individual called back to advise that he has found his dog.

*A male called for an ambulance for his wife.

*A male staying at the campground called asking questions about the fire siren.

*A caller had questions about smoke in the air.

*A female called for a lift assist, with no injuries.

*A female called in a RADD report.

*A female called for an ambulance, she was not feeling well.

*A female called for an ambulance for her sister, the same female from the call just previous.

*The fire dept. was sent to a 5th wheel trailer, there was a propane smell and hissing sound.

*A female called regarding the previously mentioned propane leak.

*The fire dept. was sent to investigate smoke in the Peterson fire area.

*A male called reporting that he found his sister deceased.

*Dean Cr. Fire was sent out looking for smoke in that area.

*There were cows out on the road in Wheatland County, the call was transferred.

*The officers responded to a possible assault at the Busy Bee.

* Male called for an ambulance for his friend.

*Female called for a lift assist for her husband.

*Medical was sent for a lift assist.

*Deputies responded to a possible prowler.

*Female called in a RADD report.

*A 2 car accident was reported, Deputies, fire and medical respond to accidents.

*Male called for a lift assist.

*Female called for a deputy to break up a dog fight.

*A caller reported a single vehicle accident.

*Female called for a lift assist.

*Female called to report a possible prowler.

*Female called for an ambulance

*Lewistown hospital called, the call was transferred to Fergus county.

*Fire units were sent to a structure fire.

*There were 2 other calls on this structure fire.

*An individual called asking where the fire was. (Please do not do this…the dispatcher is very busy during fires, and answering the calls of the curious take up time and attention from potentially dangerous calls…if you need to know, you will be notified.)

*Female called in a RADD report.

*Female called for an ambulance for her mom, she was having seizures.

*Medical was sent to help a female that was having difficulty breathing.

*Male called to report vandalism

*Male called for a civil standby.

*Male called for a welfare check, the two residents of the home were found deceased.

* Medical was sent to help a female possibly having a heart attack.

* Deputies responded to a possible prowler.

*Single car accident was reported in Wheatland County, the call was transferred.

*The undersheriff responded to a call regarding a possible missing child.

*Medical responded to a male that was having a difficult time breathing.

*Fire units responded to a 5th wheel on fire.

*6 other calls came in to report the 5th wheel on fire.

*Deputies responded to a possible domestic situation.

*Male called for an ambulance for a male that was non-responsive.

*The deputy responded to a traffic complaint.

*Male called to report a vehicle that was broke down in Golden Valley County, the call was transferred.

*Medical was sent to help a female that was not responsive.

*Medical responded to a female that thinks she may have COVID.

*Female called for a lift assist.

Along with all these calls the deputies did 83 traffic stop this past month. They gave 44 warnings and 15 citations on various issues.
