Road Department Meeting

July 6, 2021

Commissioner Goffena, Commissioner Turley and Road Secretary Kenner were present.

The cattle guard on E. Parrot Creek Road was fixed. They will apply for the next go around for a Coal Board Grant for chip seal on Old Divide Road. They are planning to put Mag Chloride on Fattig Creek Road Tuesday July 13, 2021.

Road Department Meeting

July 12, 2021

Commissioner Goffena, Commissioner Turley and Road, Bridge Supervisor Stockert and Fire Warden Russell were present.

Mr. Stockert & Mr. Russell told the Commissioners that the lack of communication between the State Fire Incident people and the Road Crew is very frustrating. They have the road crew just sitting there because they are not allowed to cut lines or do anything without their say so. It is wasting time and causing more problems. The road crew are all local people and know the area and should be able to do what they can as needed. The Commissioners informed both Mr. Stockert and Mr. Russell they will address the lack of communication issue with the Type II Team at the 10:00 fire meeting. There is also the Farrell Street Bridge pre-bid meeting at 11:00 today.
