Sheriff’s Report

6/12/21 through 7/15/21

During this time-frame there were 189 calls on 911. The following is how they broke down:

27 calls for the ambulance

21 calls for the police

27 calls for the fire dept.

14 calls transferred to other counties

1 test call from the phone company

100 unwarranted/hang up/pocket dials. In the body of this report I’m not going to list all the unwarranted calls, as you can see there are a lot of them!

The rest of the calls went as follows:

* Two people called about a couple of dogs running down Highway 12 W near the Liberty gas station.

* A RADD (reckless and dangerous driver) report came in, the female calling was having mechanical steering issues.

* Deputies were sent to enforce a no contact order.

* Cows were reported on the highway.

* EMS management was called for a lift assist.

* There was an unwarranted call for domestic cleaning help (I listed this one simply to make sure that everyone knows that this is not what 911 is for!)

* EMS management was called for a lift assist.

* RADD report called in, however it was out of county, so the call was transferred to Yellowstone County.

* The ambulance was called for a female that was not feeling well.

* A female called concerned about the smoky haze in the air.

* Male called to report suspicious people in Melstone.

* Female called to report a male shooting himself in her yard.

* Female called to ask about cleaning up after the man shot himself.

* There was a fire reported on Woody and Slater Dr.

* Fire called in on Woody and Slater.

* Fire reported on Dean Creek Rd

* Fire reported on Johnny’s Coal Rd.

* Female called asking to speak to a nurse or Dr. dispatch referred her to Roundup Memorial Hospital. She didn’t want the ambulance.

* Fire reported in Yellowstone County, caller was transferred.

* Male called requesting to speak with a supervisor for the deputy on duty, he was upset about citations he was issued, dispatch advised him that the supervisor would not be in until after 0700.

* Deputy called out to the Liberty Gas station regarding an armed male that was working on his motorcycle.

* Report of a cow on the hwy.

* Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance.

* Male called to advise there is an argument at his residence, he wanted the officers aware in case it escalated.

* Report of horses out on Highway 87 S.

* RADD report called in, the deputy on duty responded.

* RADD report called in from Yellowstone County, the caller was transferred.

* Deputies responded to a PFMA (Partner Family Member Assault) call.

* Cow was reported on the highway.

* 2 calls about an elderly male walking on highway 87 S. MHP was already on the scene with him.

* A caller requested the phone number for a tow truck company.

* A test call from the phone company came in.

* Request for an officer for a possible prowler.

* The male requesting the officer for the possible prowler called back and requested the officer again.

* The ambulance was sent out for a male with injuries sustained in a 4-wheeler accident.

* Caller reported finding a loose dog.

* A caller requested a deputy at the Keg Bar for an agitated customer.

* The ambulance was called for a man that fell.

* Fire reported in N. Delphia.

* Fire reported on Painted Horse and Sheep Herder Trail.

* Info request on N. Delphia fire.

* Fire reported on Sheep Herder Trail. Advised that units were on the way.

* Fire reported in N. Delphia, advised that units were on the way.

* 5 info requests on the fire in N. Delphia.

* EMS Management was called for a lift assist, no injuries reported.

* EMS Management was called for a lift assist, no injuries reported.

* Info request on the fire in N. Delphia.

* Ambulance was called for a female that was sick.

* Ambulance called for a female that was sick.

* Fire dispatched for smoke in a residence.

* Ambulance was sent out for a male with low blood sugar.

* Ambulance sent for a female having a seizure.

* Medical was called for a man that was not feeling well.

* Deputies responded to a possible theft call.

* Male reported that a truck threw a rock and broke out his window, this call was referred to MHP.

* Deputy responded to assist a vehicle that was running with hazard lights on.

* Fire reported on Painted Horse Trail.

* Fire reported East of Gage.

* Caller called back to advise that the fire east of Gage was not located, possible dust cloud instead.

* EMS Management responded to help a male that fell.

* Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle.

* Ambulance sent for a female that was sick.

*Ambulance responded to a female that had fallen out of her vehicle.

* Female called scared by the noises outside, dispatch reassured her that everything was ok and the noises she was hearing was the RIDE festivities.

* Deputies responded to a suspicious person attempting to get into a camper.

* Medical responded to a male with possible cardiac event.

* Medical responded to a male that was short of breath.

*Deputy responded to a report of a vehicle blocking a driveway.

* Male requested to speak with an officer regarding the vehicle blocking his driveway.

* Ambulance responded to a help a male that fell.

* EMS management assisted a female that fell.

* EMS management assisted a female that fell.

* Deputies responded to the report of a fire in the Roundup Apartments yard, it was already put out before the call was made.

* Medical responded to a female that was in a lot of pain.

* Medical responded to a man that fell.

* Female accidentally set off the museum alarm, she stated that the responsible party had already been notified and was on the way.

* Medical responded to a male that is sick.

* Fire reported in Yellowstone County, call transferred.

* Fire reported in Yellowstone County, call transferred.

* Call from the Lewistown Hospital, transferred to Fergus County.

* Caller asking about the smoky haze.

* Fire reported off #4 Rd.

* Fire reported off #4 Rd., possibly on Bender.

* Info request on the Bender Rd fire.

* Fire reported in Yellowstone County, call transferred.

* Fire reported on Wilson Rd.

* Info request on the fire in Yellowstone County.

* Peterson Fire reported.

* Info request on the fires.

* Female called questioning whether or not she should follow the evacuation orders.

* Caller reported the fire on Highway 12 E. Dispatch advised that units were already on the scene.

* Caller reported the fire on Bender and Jeffrey Mine Rd. Dispatch advised that units were already on the scene.

* Deputy responded to a call reporting the smell of smoke on Dean Creek Rd. the smoke was found to be blown in from the local fires.

* Medical responded to a female that fell and possibly broke her hip.

* Several calls reporting fire on highway 12E near MM183-184.

* Deputies responded to a PFMA call.

* Fire reported near Delphia, advised crews were already on the scene.

* Fire reported off Bender Rd.

* Ambulance called for a male that fell.

* Female reported that there was an elderly male walking on Hwy 87 S. units already on the way.

* Fire reported on Golf Course Rd.

* Fire reported on Alec Roy Rd.

* Fire reported on near South Willow Creek.

* Several calls reporting fire on Airport Rd.

* Fire reported in Yellowstone County, call transferred.

* Ambulance responded to a collapsed male at Signal Peak Mine. ***To reiterate what Sheriff Lesnik has already said on Facebook, please do not call 911 for information on fires, please do not call dispatch for information on the fires either. Dispatch works solo most of the time, and fire calls are extremely busy. The best place to get information during the fires is through the DES office or their Facebook page. Thank you.

There were 72 traffic stops done during this time frame. 65 warnings and 20 citations were given.
