Commissioners Meeting

July 2nd, 2021 Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 2:30 by Commissioner Goffena. Commissioner Turley and Commissioner Pancratz were present. Assistant Hagstrom was absent. Minutes were taken by Emily Schultz.

Commissioner Turley made the motion to approve the agenda for the day as is. Commissioner Pancratz seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Commissioner Turley made the motion to approve the minutes from the June 25, 2021 meeting as is. Commissioner Pancratz seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Public Comment for the Coal Board Grant Environmental Evaluation for Phase 2 of the Hospital Generator Project for Roundup Memorial Healthcare.

Theresa Doumitt was present. No public comment.

Public comment for 3:00 business.

There was no public comment.

Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to table Resolution 2021-19 Increasing Expenditure Budget Lines on the FY 2020-2021 Budget. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.


Musselshell County Commission Minutes

Commissioner Turley made the motion to approve and sign the Certification of Match for the Area II Agency on Aging for FY 2022 in the amount of $11,835.00. Commissioner Pancratz seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to approve and sign the Letter to the Montana Coal Board Agreeing to Submit a Montana Coal Board Application; and Authorizing Musselshell County Commission Chairman Goffena to Sign Documents. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Commissioner Turley made the motion to approve and sign the Determination Letter for Potential Environmental Impacts of Phase 2 of the Hospital Generator Component of the Access to Emergency Services Project. Commissioner Pancratz seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to approve and sign resolution 2021-20 to accept the Determination Letter for Potential Environmental Impacts of Phase 2 of the Hospital Generator Component of the Access to Emergency Services Project. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Commissioner Goffena and Commissioner Turley did the last run of claims for fiscal year 2020/2021.

Road Department Meeting

June 28, 2021

Commissioner Goffena, Commissioner Turley Road and Bridge Supervisor and Secretary Kenner were present.

No more signs are needed for the Rendezvous in Musselshell, per Ms. Kuhlman. They are still waiting on clarification on a reimbursement from the Coal Board. The Commissioners are still working on a possible wage increase. The bid schedule and dates for Farrel Street Bridge Project was submitted to the Commissioners. The need to find out if the Coal Board has been financed so they can possibly apply for a grant for chip sealing Old Divide Road. There were 4 crew members that worked on the Painted Horse fire over the weekend. The Commissioners signed Resolution 2021-21 and 2021-22 for Fire Restrictions Stage 2 and decided that if they are not available when there is a fire, it will be up to Road and Bridge Supervisor Stockert to determine if equipment is needed. But the Commissioners will still need to be contacted and updated.

Lance Sherwood met with the Commissioners regarding easements on Fischel Creek Road.
