Sheriff”s Report

06/11/21 through 6/28/21

There were 97 calls on the 911 lines. This was a busy two weeks!

There were 49 unwarranted or hang up calls, 13 fire calls, 15 ambulance calls, 13 police calls, 5 transfer or referral calls and 1 test call.

The calls were as follows:

* Hang up

* Fire reported at Gage and Allen Road

* Hang up

* Male found in a ditch and was initially not responding to verbal cues.

* Caller updating on the condition of the man in the ditch.

* Child playing with the phone

* Medical was sent to a female with a possible stroke.

* Hang up

* Two 911 calls regarding dogs on the highway near the Liberty Gas station.

Individual called on accident.

* Pocket dial

* 2 calls came in with no sounds, dispatch was able to locate the possible location. The officer patrolled the area and found nothing amiss.

* Hang up

* A call came in with a possible RADD (Reckless and Dangerous Driver), this ended up being a female having mechanical issues.

* Hang up

* Male called to request an officer to enforce a no contact order.

*Male called to report a cow on the road.

* Hang up

* Hang up

* Hang up

* Female called for help getting up. EMS management assisted.

* Male called regarding 2 vehicles racing towards Billings. Referred to MHP.

* Female requested ambulance to take her to RMH.

* Numerous calls were received about the smoky haze in the air. The smoke had blown in from either Red Lodge or Deep Creek Canyon fires.

* Male called regarding suspicious people in Melstone.

* Female called to advise that a male committed suicide in her yard.

* Female called back asking about the clean up from the previous call.

* 3 calls reporting a fire on Woody and Slater Dr.

* Several calls came in to advise of a fire on Johnny’s Coal Rd.

* Child playing with the phone.

* Female called asking to speak with a Dr. or nurse, referred her to RMH.

* Pocket dial.

* Fire was reported in Custer, the call was transferred to Yellowstone County.

* Male called, unhappy with the citations he received on a traffic stop.

* Male called reporting someone at the Liberty Gas station. The officer that was on shift spoke with the person carrying the gun, all was well.

* Hang up

* Caller reported a calf near the highway—the owner was notified.

* Pocket dial.

* Police were requested for a domestic situation.

* Female called to report an accident, but advised that an officer was already on the scene.

* Deputies were requested to respond to a potential domestic situation.

* Pocket dial

* Caller advised of horses on the road, the owner was notified.

* Deputy advised of a RADD report

* Caller advising of a RADD report in Yellowstone County, the call was transferred.

* Caller advised of a vehicle along side the highway.

* Female called to report a domestic situation.

* Pocket dial

* Caller reported a cow walking down the highway, the owners were notified.

* Caller reported a possibly intoxicated male that fell into the road, MHP responded.

* The call dropped, it was regarding the previously mentioned male in the road.

* Caller requested the name and number to a towing company.

* Phone company did a test call.

* Hang up.

* Male requested an officer to his home, possible prowler.

* Same male requested that the officer return to discuss possible entry zones the prowler could use.

* Call came in with no information on the computer, dispatch was unable to make contact.

* Female called for an ambulance for her husband, he may have broken some ribs.

* Caller reported finding a lost dog.

* Deputy requested at a local bar for an unruly customer.

* Medical requested for a possible stroke victim.

* 11 calls were made either reporting or asking about the Painted Horse Fire.

* Female requested assistance getting up, she had fallen.

* Female requested assistance from medical, as she needed help to stand up.

* The ambulance was requested for a female that was sick and had fallen.

* Ambulance was sent for a female that had passed out.

* Fire was sent to Tri-County housing apartments to check on the smoke coming out of the A/C unit vent.

* Ambulance requested for a male with low blood sugar.

* Ambulance was sent to help a female that had a seizure and is now not responsive.

* Ambulance sent to help a man on the verge of passing out.

* Hang up
