Roundup Chamber's Parade July 2nd and 3rd
June 9, 2021
It is time again to be thinking about summer sun and fun! This year the parade will be held on July 2th and July 3th. We understand that there are some questions about not having the Parade on the actual 4th of July. The Chamber works closely with the R.I.D.E. Committee and because the Parade and the Youth Rodeo “Buttons and Bows” were a time conflict the decision was made.
There is no entry fee. The theme for this year’s Parade will be “Honoring our Local Heroes.” It is especially exciting this year as our Grand Marshals will be General Paul “Butch” Funk and his son General Paul Funk II. General Paul Funk I grew up in Roundup and graduated from RHS!! The Army is providing an Army Band for our Parade, The Golden Knight’s Tandem Paratroopers that have been requested for 2 tandems a day July 2nd and 3rd.
Entry forms are available the day of the parade or you may pick one up at 1st Security, Valley Federal, Credit Union or Radio Shack. They are also available at roundupride.com or roundupchamber.org. You will be given an additional entry form when you arrive at “C” Brewers.
There will be the usual Registration table at the back of the Brewer Building. Volunteers will be checking in with all the entries as you arrive. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Bette Ross.
The winning float best depicting our theme will win $100. The best in each category will win $25. All entries will meet July 2nd and July 3rd and 10:00 AM at “C” Brewers. Categories are: Music, Classic Cars, and Floats depicting the theme. Also there will be a category for Animals (including Horses), Horse Drawn Rigs, Bicycles, Motor Cycles, and “other.”
