Pastor Mark Hall New Life Fellowship Church Roundup

New Life Fellowship's Pastor Mark and Jennifer Hall, Assistant Pastor Justin and Isymae Carlton

Mark Hall is the new Pastor at Roundup's New Life Fellowship Church. He began traveling here from Billings last January with his wife Jennifer to attend, become a member, and be a help to his friend, Lonnie Riddle. Being an ordained preacher since 1998, and a long-time friend of Lonnie Riddle, he began filling in for the older Pastor from time to time, and then more often throughout the year. Lonnie made the decision to retire, and Mark stepped up to full time for the community church. Mark explained that Lonnie was vital in his training when he first started out to become ordained.

Mark's father, Lester Hall, founded the New Life Fellowship Church in Billings in 1981. Lester started this church from the basement of his home before the church building was built. This is where Mark first met Lonnie Riddle, who began coming to his father's church while it was still in Marks family home. Lonnie went on to establish the church in Roundup in 1995.

In telling me a little about the church, Mark explains that the New Life Fellowship is a Non-Denominational church. Which means that this church is available to anyone of any Christian denomination. Mark says that the core belief is in the "whole bible, rightly divided, with the New Testament being the basis for our faith and discipline." He wants this church to be known in this town as a "REAL" church with real people. REAL being an acrostic for Righteous, Evangelical, Authentic, and Loving. He wants the church to be a family church with something to offer every member of the family to grow in faith. He works with Justin Carlton, who is working towards becoming an ordained minister. Mark and Justin are hoping to create a youth group that would be an addition to the youth group offered by the Emmanuel Baptist Church. They are planning to have a newer, bigger building soon that will provide more opportunities for growth.

Justin Carlton moved to Roundup from Guam after his military service, with his wife Isymae (Icy May). Justin has five children, takes a local mail route, and has the new self-defense class featured in the May 12th edition of the Roundup Record and Winnett Tribune. He is working with Pastor Mark weekly doing the Tuesday Bible Study Potluck. He is also the fill in for Mark when he is gone. Mark has two grown children with his wife Jennifer who is Mark's "behind the scene helper". Mark also has a full-time job in Billings working in construction.

New Life Fellowship Church has been streaming live on Facebook on Sundays since Covid, but Mark encourages anyone who can, to come in person, as fellowship is an important part of faith. Services are Sunday at 1030, and Tuesday evening bible study potluck at 6pm. If you would like to come early on Sunday for a pre-worship to have some quiet time, you are welcome to come from 930-1015am. Mark would like to welcome and invite anyone in the community of Roundup to come visit the New Life Fellowship for encouragement and inspiration in faith.
