Jean Lang

Jean Lang of Musselshell, Montana met her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 26th, 2020. Mom was born February 28th, 1930 to Math and Adela Hjelvik. She graduated from the Sumatra school and then met the love of her life and our Dad, Chris Lang. They were married on June 9th, 1949. Mom and Dad worked side by side taking care of their five children and working a sheep ranch. She worked 40+ years for the United States Post Office starting in Melstone and then as Postmaster in Ingomar. She loved to crochet beautiful afghans that she shared with her family and community. Preceding her in death, are Chris and her sisters, Elva Christensen and Betty Taylor. She is survived by her children: Leona (John) Whetham, Bill Lang, Debby (Mark) Fox, Vern (Patti) Lang and Tammy (Steve) Sotak and sisters (Joan McCaffree, Dorothy Smith, Mary Sherman) and brothers (Bud and John Hjelvik). She enjoyed her precious eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Family and friends are invited to the viewing at the Musselshell Community Bible Church from 9:00AM to 10:00AM on Saturday, September 5th, and a grave site service at 11:15AM. Following will be a memorial luncheon at Musselshell Community Center. Starting at 10:30AM, refreshments will be served at the center while the family is attending a private service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Musselshell Community Center or a charity of their chose. We would like to thank Sunflower Gardens and Compassus Hospice for the wonderful care they gave our mom.
