HEARING SCREENINGS IN SCHOOLS

The Central Montana Learning Resource Center Cooperative will be screening students in Melstone, Roundup, Lavina, Ryegate, Golden Valley Colony, Harlowton, Martinsdale Colony, Deerfield Colony, Duncan Ranch Colony, Judith Gap, Hobson, Stanford, Surprise Creek Colony, Geyser, Moore, King Colony, Spring Creek Colony, Roy, Winifred, Grass Range, Ayers Colony, Denton, Winnett and Lewistown to identify those who may have hearing difficulties. The screenings will begin toward the first of September and will continue until approximately the middle of December. All Kindergarten, First, and Tenth grade students, new students, and students referred by parents and/or school personnel will be screened. Children who do not pass the hearing screening will be rechecked by an audiologist. Due to Covid-19 the screenings will be done on a case by case basis. Each school in coordination with the speech pathologist will schedule the screenings.
