Livestock Per Capita Fee Payments Due May 31

HELENA – The Montana Departments of Livestock and Revenue would like to thank the livestock owners that have reported and paid their 2020 per capita livestock fees.

The per capita fees provide critical funding for programs that benefit livestock producers such as programs to monitor animal health, monitor and restrict livestock imports, track animal movements, prevent and investigate livestock theft, and manage predators. The fees also benefit the general public in funding programs that prevent the spread of animal diseases to humans.

The department recently mailed notices to the livestock owners that have not reported or paid, reminding them of their obligation to do so by May 31. The notices include the amount of per capita fee due and how to pay the fee.
