Jada Fish stands on the podium after taking 3rd place at the 1st Annual Montana Girls' State Wrestling Tournament.

The Roundup Wrestling Club is proud to have been a part of history this weekend. Two of our wrestlers, Jada Fish and Alyssa Acord, competed in the first annual Montana Girls' State Wrestling Tournament. This was Alyssa's first tournament ever, and though she didn't place, she wrestled hard and walked off the mat smiling. Jada, a fourth year wrestler, went 3-1 for the day (with two pins and a sudden-death overtime win) to earn 3rd place.

The team was also represented at the Montana Middle School Championships in Lewistown by Sheldon Serrano, Maurice Nickell, Logan Turner, and Declan Runnels. These boys competed in brackets consisting of 5th-8th graders. Several of our post-season wrestlers will be leaving Friday for the all-weekend Montana AAU State Tournament in Great Falls.
