Judge Randal Spaulding swearing in "Rico", Musselshell County's newest K-9 deputy. Deputy Travis Manning, who originally is from Florida, is Rico's handler. Rico is a Belgian Malinois. He is about 1 1/2 years old and was born and trained in Holland. He and deputy Manning trained together in Pennsylvania for about six weeks before returning to Roundup a week and a half ago. Rico's assignment here is narcotics assistance and general patrol. Sheriff Shawn Lesnik would like to thank Signal Peak Energy for providing partial funding to obtain Rico. Sheriff Lesnik also said that Rico will be a valuable asset to the Musselshell County Sheriff's Office and the citizens of Musselshell County for years to come.
