Greg Eiselein with Teddy Blue Abbot

The long awaited arrival of the statue of Teddy Blue Abbott, mounted on his horse while pushing cattle across the Musselshell River in the late eighteen hundreds, was unveiled in Roundup recently by the artist, Greg Eiselein. A good-sized gathering of local residents were more than impressed with the statue which is about 34 feet long and 12 feet high.

Although currently covered with blue (how appropriate!) styrofoam, it will eventually be cast in bronze.

This has been a work in progress for Greg and Colene for many months. They are facing many more months of work and expenditure, as works of art do not come easily or cheaply. Donations are greatly appreciated, and may be sent to Linda Yount at 320 - 4th St. W, Roundup, MT 59072. Checks should be made out to the Musselshell Valley Historical Museum; memo the check TBA. All donations are tax deductible. Do send your donation now.

What an asset this fine work of art will be to the main street of Roundup and the Court House lawn.
