Vitalant Blood Center will be in Roundup on Thursday, September 26th from 12noon-6p at the Musselshell County Emergency Operations Center (Ambulance Barn). Vitalant is the nonprofit blood provider for Roundup Memorial Hospital as well as 29 additional hospitals in Montana and northern Wyoming.

There is no substitute for human blood so every donation is incredibly important. Patients who need blood are not only trauma patients, but those who have surgeries, pregnancy complications, cancer patients who undergo chemotherapy treatments, and people who have blood diseases, or clotting issues. Blood is needed and used every day. Without a steady blood supply it is possible that these patients would have to wait for surgeries or treatments. Because of communities like Roundup we are able to maintain a steady ample safe supply of blood to our community hospitals and potentially help other communities who may run short.

In 2019 alone Roundup has brought in 95 donors resulting in over 109 lifesavings units! That is truly awe-inspiring.
