To receive a Governor’s Safety Achievement Award, nominees must prove that they are not only compliant with the Montana Safety Culture Act, but also that they go above and beyond in creating a safety culture in their workplace.

Adam Carlson, from Musselshell County has worked hard to increase the safety of the county’s employees and residents. He helped fire fighters get SCBA’s, improved rural addressing, updating road signs and house numbers to help first responders; and he worked on flood mitigation grants to remove structures from the floodplain.
