Happenings at the Musselshell County Sheriff’s Office

July 30th- August 6th

July 30th- A person came in the office to report an assault. Officers spoke to the individual.

Deputies responded to a residential alarm. They found everything to be okay.

A report of a plane crash came in. EMS, Fire and Deputies responded

A report of a stray dog came in

The ambulance performed a requested transfer

A fire was reported on Teton Rd. Roundup Fire and Hawk Creek responded. The fire was put out.

A 911 came in that turned out to be an accidental dial

A traffic complaint came in Deputies responded

A report of Identity theft came in. Officers are investigating.

The ambulance completed a couple of requested transfers.

A report of a tree being down on highway 12 west came in, officers responded.

July 31st A person reported hearing an alarm going off inside a local business. Officers responded.

A report of a structure fire came in EMS, Fire and Deputies responded

Another agency reported a person in our county reported a theft of gas.

A 911 came in about a problem with a dog

A 911 came in reporting a verbal assault, officers responded.

A 911 came in about children not being seat belted in properly. Officers were out of position to handle this and it was turned over to Highway Patrol.

Aug.1st A request for assistance came in from MHP to locate an overdue motorist

A report of a stray dog that won’t quit barking came in

A parking complaint came in

A report of a gas drive off came in. The person was contacted and went back and paid.

A report of harassment came in

A 911 came in about a vehicle stalling in the middle of the highway

A 911 came in requesting an ambulance on highway 87 south

A request for an ambulance was made by a local business

A report of vandalism came in

A 911 came in reporting a fire

A report of a suspicious person came in

Aug.2nd A person requested the ambulance for their wife.

A person reported a scam about buying a dog.

A 911 call came in requesting an ambulance

A 911 came in requesting an ambulance

A report of a stray dog in someone’s yard came in

A report of a water dispute came in. Officers spoke with the caller.

Aug.3rd A 911 hang up came in from a dead cell phone it could not be called back

A report of someone burning in their back yard came in

A report of a gas drive off came in

A report of theft came in

A report of a possible attempted break in came in

A 911 came in requesting the non-emergency number.

Aug.4th A 911 came in requesting an ambulance

A report of smoke came in. Officers responded and was unable to find anything.

A report of theft came in

A report of a power pole had been hit came in.

Aug.5th A 911 came in reporting a speeding semi. This call was passed on to the highway patrol.

A request for a coroner came in.

BLM requested assistance with a fire at 17 mile shooting range

A 911 came in from Shepherd reporting a fire. Call was transferred to Yellowstone Co.

The hospital requested an ambulance transfer.

A 911 came in reporting goats on the highway

Aug.6th A report of a vehicle fire in Rosebud Co came in. Meltsone Fire responded.

A 911 came in requesting an ambulance

A report of a package being delivered to the wrong address came in

A 911 came in it was an accidental dial

A report of sheep out on the highway came in

An anonymous report of someone making threats came in.

A report of a disturbance came in

A report of a black bear came in

A report of a calf in the highway came in

There were 25 traffic stops, 7 citations given, 2 for speed, 3 for driving suspended, and 2 for no insurance.

Aug 7th

A person reported someone kicked in the door to a detached garage. Officers responded.

A request for the ambulance came in. The patient was transported to the hospital.

A report of 2 cars racing came in. Officers were in the area on a traffic stop.

A 911 call came in and immediately hung up. On call back a message was left.

A 911 call came in reporting a black bull along the highway. Possible owners were contacted. They were unable to find a bull. A 911 call came in reporting farm equipment going down the highway in another county. The call was transferred to that county.

911 rang and immediately hung up. On call back it was discovered that they were putting their phone in a holder and it dialed 911.

A report came in of an elk being hit on Highway 12 E

Aug 8th

A report of a barking dog came in.

A county employee reported finding a freshly killed elk on a county road. Fish and game was advised.

The principle requested an officer stop by the high school.

A couple 911 hang up calls came in.

A person called 911 to report there was a fire in their house. Roundup Fire Department responded.

A person called concerned about the welfare of a couple dogs. Someone called about the fire in Yellowstone Co. This call was transferred to Yellowstone Co.

Ambulance was requested to meet the Winnett Ambulance to transport their patient to RMH

The Ambulance performed a requested transfer to Billings

Aug 9th

The Ambulance performed a requested transfer to Billings.

A report of an individual who appeared to have fallen and hit their head came in. The individual refused an ambulance.

A 911 came in requesting an ambulance for someone who had fallen off of a horse. Roundup Ambulance and Hawk Creek QRU responded

A call came in reporting a pack rat at a local business

A complaint of trash on highway 12 east came in

A 911 came in reporting a semi making bad passes and driving erratically, Deputy responded

A report of an individual riding a bike is laying in the ditch on highway 87 north. Deputy responded the individual was fine.

A report of a possible drunk driver on highway 87 s came in, Deputy responded.

A report of a fight going on at the old grade school came in Deputy responded

A report of an assault came in Deputy responded

Aug. 10th

A report of suspicious activity came in Deputy was advised

A couple of complaints about dogs barking came in

A 911 came in requesting an ambulance for an individual who had fallen and bleeding. EMS and the Deputy responded

A report of possible child abuse came in Deputy responded

911 rang and there was only background noise, caller stated that everything is fine

A welfare check came in for a youth. Deputy performed the check and all was found to be fine.

A report of suspicious activity at an abandoned house came in Deputy responded

A report of a couple of fawns that had been hit on highway 87 south came in Deputy responded.

A 911 came in requesting an ambulance for an individual having a hard time breathing. EMS and Deputy responded.

A 911 came in reporting possible drugs in a vehicle.

Aug. 11th

A complaint of dogs barking and howling came in

A 911 hang-up came in, upon call back it was found to be an accidental dial and everything is fine

A 911 came in reporting an altercation, Deputies responded it was found to be a verbal altercation.

A 911 hang-up came in. call back could not be done due to the cell phone not being activated.

A request for a coroner came in. coroner responded

A report of lightning striking a tree came in

A complaint about a vehicle passing in close proximity to another vehicle came in

A report of a possible fire came in. Deputies and Bull Mountain Fire looked, no fire was found

Aug. 12th

A report of a residential burglar alarm came in Deputy responded

A report of a stray dog came in A 911 came in requesting help for an individual in Yellowstone Co. Call was transferred.

A report of two dogs running loose on the east side of town

A complaint about an erratic driver on number 4 road came in A request for a lift assist came in Deputy responded

A request for an ambulance came in for an individual whose blood sugar is really low

A 911 came in requesting a deputy for a disturbance

Aug. 13th

The ambulance performed a requested transfer to Saint V’s

A report of an individual had called the clinic and was very angry

A report of a dog running around on the west side of town came in A complaint came in of a vehicle that ran the construction zone red lights

A report of suspicious activity on highway 87 south came in A report of possible trespassing came in

A request for the ambulance came in for an individual bleeding from their catheter

A report of an intoxicated individual trying to get into vehicles came in Deputies responded

A report of an individual who would not leave came in Deputies responded

Aug. 14th

A report of a dead deer in the road on highway 87 north came in

The ambulance performed a lift assist

A request for an ambulance came in for a possible stroke EMS responded

A request for assistance came in from Yellowstone CO for helping stop a stolen vehicle on highway 87 south. Deputies responded Yellowstone CO called back and cancelled as they had the vehicle stopped.

A report of a vehicle all over the road on highway 87 north came in

A report of an intoxicated individual calling a local business came in

A report of a driver texting and driving came in

A report of a semi driving all over the road came in

A report of a possible drunk driver on Highway 87 south came in

A report of a youth that had taken off came in Deputy responded

The ambulance performed a requested transfer to Saint V’s

A 911 hang-up came in, upon call back it was found to be an accidental dial and everything is fine

A 911 came in reporting a fight Deputies responded

A 911 hang-up came in a call back could not be done as the phone is not activated

A request for an ambulance came in for an individual having withdrawals.

There were 28 traffic stops. 12 citations given, 3-speed, 6- no insurance, 2- expire registration, 1- displaying fictitious plates
